Begüm Birgören will reportedly portray Gülşah Hatun, adding a new female character to the expanding story around Sultan Mehmed.
The casting has attracted particular attention because Gülşah Hatun will reportedly have a close connection with Fatih Sultan Mehmet, played by Serkan Çayoğlu.
