Halit Özgür Sarı plays Deniz Baran Dağ, a homicide chief inspector shaped by painful experiences from his past. His life takes another devastating turn following the death of his niece, Neşe, an event surrounded by unanswered questions.
The two characters initially appear to occupy completely different worlds. Işık studies human behavior and the hidden workings of the mind, while Deniz searches for physical evidence and follows the trail of criminal cases. Their separate investigations eventually move toward the same mystery.
A Mystery Connected to Personal Loss

Karga7 Pictures is producing the project under the TOD STUDIOS banner. The series is directed by Hülya Gezer, while the screenplay has been written by Eylem Canpolat and Bengü Üçüncü.
The ensemble cast adds further depth, with names including Sezin Akbaşoğulları, Fatih Al, Gökhan Soylu, Can Atak, Bahadır Vatanoğlu, Burak Güneş, Yaprak Medine, Yiğit Batumlu, Esra Ünnü, Elif Gülhan, Jasmine Berkiş and Serpil Gül.
The production reportedly began preparations with a table read in June, bringing the cast and creative team together before filming got underway. Shooting also began in June, setting the stage for the September launch.

The early promotional material creates a darker atmosphere, but Alıkara does not follow the typical police procedural formula. Its central relationship gives the story an emotional thread, while the unanswered questions surrounding Işık and Deniz create the suspense.
